ABOUT US

Markland Wood is a residential community of some 1200 homes. The main street of Markland forms a circle through the community, hence the logo "A circle of Friends". In 1962 after a successful battle with the city about the development of the area, neighbours decided to create a formal homes association originally known as the Markland Homes Association. Now known as the Markland Wood Homeowners Association, it continues to protect the integrity of our neighbourhood. The MWHA is governed by a Board of Directors elected by the community. All neighbours are welcome to join the association. The members of the Board offer their time on a voluntary basis in the interests of the community.
