Markland Wood Safety Committee

In 2006, the Markland Homes Association set up a series of Crime, Safety and Vandalism committees to investigate, discuss and liaison with the Toronto Police Services, 22 Division, The Toronto Parks Department and the Toronto Public and Separate School Boards. There were four committees formed; The At Large Committee, The Markland Plaza Committee, The Millwood J.S. & Park Committee & The St. Clements School Committee. Each committee set up a series of meetings with the authorities to try to help solve some of the growing issues within the Markland Wood and surrounding area. Recently, the various committees were merged into one. The meetings are in keeping with the objectives of the Safety Committee to keep the residents within Markland Wood safe.
